At Sampoorna Rege Hospital, we believe that healthcare is a fundamental right and that every individual and community should have access to quality healthcare services. This belief is what led us to partner with the local community of Kherwadi, in a collaborative approach to improve healthcare access and outcomes.
The community of Kherwadi faced significant challenges in accessing quality healthcare services, with the nearest hospital located over 15 kilometers away. This led to a high prevalence of preventable and treatable illnesses, leading to reduced quality of life and increased mortality rates.
Our approach to tackling this challenge was to provide a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment program, tailored to the unique needs of the community. We leveraged our expertise in community healthcare to develop a program that addressed the specific healthcare needs of the community. We focused on creating awareness, providing education, and delivering preventive and curative healthcare services.
As part of our program, we conducted regular health check-ups, organized health camps, and provided on-call medical services to the community. We also worked closely with community leaders and local stakeholders to create awareness and build trust, helping us to bridge the gap between the community and healthcare providers.
The results of our program were significant. The prevalence of preventable illnesses such as malaria and dengue fever decreased, and the overall health and well-being of the community improved. Our program led to a significant increase in healthcare access, with over 80% of the community benefiting from our services. The success of our program serves as a testament to the power of collaborative community healthcare and our commitment to serving humanity.
